A heritage stay on Ram Ghat, Ujjain
Eleven rooms in a restored 1890s haveli, a ten-minute walk from Shri Mahakaleshwar. We arrange your Bhasma Aarti, your boat and your breakfast.
Seth Ramnarayan Bhandari built this haveli in 1894 for pilgrims of his own community. Its carved jharokhas, lime-plastered walls and inner courtyard were restored over six years by craftsmen from Ujjain and Mandsaur.
Today the family still lives on the ground floor and hosts guests above. Breakfast is cooked in their kitchen, and the evening aarti at Ram Ghat is visible from our terrace.
The Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar begins before dawn and needs advance registration. Our team handles it for you.
"We watched the Kshipra aarti from our balcony with a cup of masala chai. The family treated us like their own."Anjali and Rohit, Mumbai
"They handled our Bhasma Aarti registration for six people, including my parents. Nothing to worry about."Sunita Patel, Ahmedabad
"The most beautiful place to stay in Ujjain. The courtyard at night is unforgettable."Vikram Rao, Bengaluru
